Hummmm should I archive this under Victor or should I archive it under European machines since that was the intended market???
That cabinet compliments the machine nicely!

The rendition of the trademark on the sound box is forward-thinking, isn't it? And especially so in the truncated version on the Gramophon Haus retailer's plate. You can't beat the Germans for Modernism! Nice - -

I don't know what I like most, the phonograph with it Arts & Crafts style case. Or the unusual record cabinet. OK OK, I like them both the same. Very nice, thanks.
Best Regards, Larry

Very nice machine (and cabinet!) Starkton.
I like the Arts & Crafts style too. Even the wood species appears to follow the A&C movement - white oak. Is it oak?
Thanks for sharing this highly unusual (at least it is in the US) machine.

The stand looks at least part oak to me. The top of the stand where the phonograph is sitting is not oak Very cool machine and stand.

www.blocket.se/vi/20525881.htmHere is another Deutsche Grammofon Aktien-Gesellshaft machine. Not very good pictures I'm afraid. Anyone recognize it? It not that far from home... This D. G.-A.-G. model is called "Monarch No. 15". Manufactured between 1904 and 1907 with 3-spring motor and large brass horn for a purchase price of 225 Mark (equivalent to around US $ 52), it was clearly no machine for the masses. Get it if you can ;D Thank you for the nice comments on my machine and cabinet. The "Monarch II" is fully suitable after 100 years and still very reliable - I use it every day.
