Some time ago, I brought home an Amberola V from a Craigslist ad. Finally got the motor working. Pretty excited about that. Had to do some creative repairs and scrounge up several parts, but now it runs great! Initially, it was missing the spring barrel & gear and the spring. One of the spring barrel shaft brackets was broken (pot metal). Seemed terminal, but some creative metal work fixed it up. Had to send it to a machine shop, don't have the tools to do the repair, but it worked. Also, the entire mechanism was completely frozen, nothing moved, not even the on/off lever. It'll be a good machine very soon, now that the motor is running. Pretty happy about that!

That's a pretty creative repair Cliff. Looks strong! Glad that you got the old girl running! I would change out the allen head screw for a flat head screw to make the fix look more "period" though. Easy swap. Just a suggestion. ) Tony K.
