I have what I believe to be an early Van Eps studio recording disc vacuum. I have not been able to find anything like it online or any information regarding the machine itself. I did find that Fred Van Eps was a very popular Banjo artist and Banjo maker from the early 1900's and had record deals with Edison, Columbia and Victor. It appears Van Eps designed this for some capacity of the recording process of cylinders and discs for phonographs. I originally posted this in a Banjo forum and was told I should try posting in a phonograph forum as well. I uploaded pictures of the unit itself. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
