Hello ! I am newcomer on this forum, this is my first step ... I recently purchased a strange gramophone (see picture img402.imageshack.us/i/madisonl.jpg/), named "Madison" according to the Talking Machine Compendium of Fabrizio & Paul (item 6-12, page 215). But the compendium does not give any information on this machine. Does anybody have ? Thanks for your help !

That is a very nice looking machine. I do not know about it, but I like it. I did a quick search to find a similar unit by the Wondertone Phonograph Company. It is on youtube by... www.youtube.com/user/victormonarchAlso a close-up of a Madison reproducer from a 2008 auction. James.

Hi James, Thanks for the information. A very similar and nice machine indeed ! I purchased it from Howard Hope, an interesting and friendly seller in UK ( www.gramophones.uk.com/). Very nice closeup of the reproducer, did you purchase it ? Best regards from Belgiun, Francis

Francis, I grabbed that reproducer image from an old auction listing on the internet, only to show it. Maybe one of the members here know something more about this phonograph. This forum is read by the members of other forums too. With time, one should respond. If not you can try another forum. It is all about sharing the information with those interested and not the location. James.

Hi James ! Thanks to your close-up, with a bit of computer work, a cuter and some glue, I manage to make a "Madison like" reproducer with my anonymous German reproducer, now my machine looks really great ! I'll follow your wise guidance and keep waiting for more information ;-) Thanks again, Francis
