Hello everyone! I just bought a Sonora Minuet phonograph which is in perfect condition, no flaws, and plays beautifully. I have been scouring the Internet for information on this model, but can't find ANY information. I'm very interested in knowing more about my beautiful machine. Is anyone familiar with it? I would be grateful for any information, especially regarding its original cost and it's worth today. I believe it is from 1915 or 1919. Thanks a lot! Kelley

The Minuet was released in late 1919 as part of the 1920 catalogue range. It was replaced in the 1921 catalogue by the "New Minuet", but I don't know what the differences between the 2 models were. Both machines retailed here in Australia at £60. I found an Aussie ad for your machine, but unfortunately it's a long narrow ad down the side of the page so I've had to post it as 2 separate pictures.

If you still desire more info on a Sonora Minutet, l can help you. I inherited an identical machine from my aunt. It came with all of the original purchase paperwork and much more, all provided by my grandfather who purchased it new in 1917. Let me know. Doug Williams/ ',
