Hello, new to the sight here, we purchased a columbia grafonola over the weekend knowing that it needed some work. This is my first grafonola so before I touch anything I have been reading up on it. It plays records just fine but there is a noise which happens whole spinning. I have included a link to a youtube video of it. I am just looking to get pointed on the right direction. Thanks. Not sure if it a wobble that something should be replaced or tightened? youtu.be/K7Qd-qIG2Aw

Either the turntable drive shaft bushing is wore out causing an imbalance rattle or the fiber gear on the turntable drive shaft has wore out teeth or shorter than usual teeth which will eventually strip. If the noise goes away after removing the turntable chances are the fiber gear is wore. while the turntable is off check for sideplay on the turntable driveshaft. Its sounds like every time it does a 360 revolution its more a pronounced rattle at a given position of the revolution. Or also the governor gearing may have a lot of slop in it with the load of the turntable.
