Hello,
I purchased this Columbia Grafonola for $15 and the screws to the hinges on the lid will not grip and hold. Do you know the best way to fasten the kid or is there any way to make the original screws grip and hold. They hold for a short time but if they lid is up they come loose and fall out. This is the first columbia Victoria I purchased and am trying to get it cleaned up so I thought someone on here knew the answer to my question.
Thank you!

For stripped screw holes, I use wooden match sticks. Apply a little wood glue to the stick or sticks, insert stick or sticks in the hole and trim off protruding ends with side cutters so they are flush to the surface. Use an awl or center punch to create an indentation for the screw to start in and then just screwing. After all screws are in, leave undisturbed until glue has dried.
