You're right... It's about a 50/50 change to find it's guts!

Bluezebra has some nice before and after photos of an Edison Adam that he picked up here in Houston a few years ago. What do you say, BZ?

Do I see delamination issues on the top/rear left? You did a great with this deserving machine. How very brave you must be!

This would be my most successful restoration/rebuild to date. The first 2 pix are from the ebay listing. The next 2 are how the amberola 30 arrived here from America, and a during restoration photo. The last 2 are the finished product.

Wow Shane! You brought that one back from the dead! Very nice work.
If you had to guess, how many hours do you have into that restoration? I would be interested to know the same of your project too, Moo.

It would only be a wild guess, but maybe 24 hrs. It took about a week I think from start to finish, but a lot of the time was taken up with things in clamps waiting for glue to dry, and waiting for the bedplate paint to dry. Once it was together, it only took about 4 hrs to polish the cabinet, and maybe an hour to reassemble the motor & throw it back in..

Shane is the Jesus of phonograph restoration! It was sick when you bought it and it was murdered by the carrier service.
As for mine, Actual working hours (less drying, clamping times) about 30 hours on the cabinet and 8 hrs on the mechanics. (Frank Tucker installed the new kit in the motor)

Still working on it, but I'll share anyway (most of you probably have already seen these). From the Ebay auction pictures And my current progress (admittedly, not nearly as impressive as Shane's work) Still working on it...one of these days I'll be finished.

All of these are awesome! Zeppy, I have to ask you how exactly you repaired the veneer on the left horn door? The match of the grain is very good. I have always had trouble in making veneer patches look good. (Or rather not look at all...) What is your secret? Martin
