I bought this off ebay last year (Well mama got it for me for Christmas) Even though it was very dirty, I took to cleaning it and here are the results. The owner said it hung in a Kansas City Electric Co. building for 60 years. It looks just like the ones phono dealers had in their shops.

Very cool portrait, Moo. What did you do to clean it?

I used 409. Smoke damage cleanup folks use it to clean film off of wood and trim. I think the dirt kept some from bidding on it. It even has a brass tag on the frame with Mr. Edison's name on it.

Very nice. Is it an oil painting right on through, or a lithograph that's been over-coated to appear as a painting?

It is a print on textured paper with some gesso type finish to appear like a real oil portrait.
