And here is anothe picture. The reproducer looks like an orthophonic but on closer observance The screws screw into the cover front and back and of course it has russian written on the back of the reproducer. Excellent shape.

After doing extensive research. I came across an old parts machine an H.M.V. 102 model. Basically the machine i have is a russianized H.M.V. 102. All parts are interchangeable. Just like the H. M. V. 102 The russian one has the same problems with the stop mechanism. The motor and internal horn layout is the same. The motorboard has the same screw positions. The soundbox although in russian has the number 15 stamped on the back of it. playing blues records on it with cactus needles is loud loud loud. I brought the unit to my sisters during christmas. even balling up two socks and stuffing it in the horn did not dampen the sound. This unit is actually a 1931 model. Because after 1932 these units were banned in russia and thousands were destroyed. this unit sounds amazing.

It is fun to look into the history of these machines!
It looks to be a hard working phonograph. Enjoy it!
James.
