Hello Guys for some odd reason at times my Edison DD needle on my Ultona sound box plays some times and some times just slides accross. I like to ask all of you peoples whats going on. the hook up broke between the stylus and the diaphragm but it skipped across like slid ac cross long before this even broke.

When was the last time the stylus was replaced? They say its indestructable but eventually these chip and can cause skipping Or the anchor pin hole is getting a lot of lateral play where the stylus anchors causing it to skip in the grooves if that is worn it will Flit across the record causing either the loop to break from the stylus or the diaphragm. What model of Brunswick do you own? It is also a good idea to make sure the Adjustable tone arm isnt too loose or the slide weight isnt moving back on you. That can cause the reproducer to slightly lift on the record grooves. Does your tonearm look like this?
