I am looking for a reproducer for a U.S. Lakeside Opera model. I have contacted a few parts suppliers without luck. Does anyone have or know someone who may have a reproducer for this machine? It is the wide setup that has both the two and four minute reproducers in one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Edison Opera offered different reproducers over the very short period it was produced. The model L that plays wax cylinders is among the rarest. The few machines I have seen used Amberol reproducers. Here is an article on the cylinder models Edison made including the Opera model phonojack.com/Edison%20Collection.htm

The diamond A reproducer will work but they are scarce. The L is next to impossible to find

Don Gfell has some parts available for the US reproducer. Last I heard, he may have a complete one. Send him an e-mail.

I Found a model L reproducer with the copper spoked ridge diaphragm at an antique store it is fully rebuilt. But the asking price is $1200CDN. Pretty pricy. The whole neck is in tact and it looks pretty remarkable for a rebuild. It resonates real nice. Its the whole piece and ready to install.
