its in good shape the turn table could use some cleaning but it works wood is perfect and so is horn every thing is in tip top shape its stamp is aug 13 1901 is this an edison standard model a red oval sign on front

The Edison standard is a very common machine. Production started with The square lid models around 1898. In 1900 they went to a round lid. The first models had listening devices. and after market horns could be bought in 1902. In about 1905 Edison made his own horns. I seen these machines sell for $700 or depending on horn style maybe $1200 . Here is a link that might help you In the rareness of machines. Note just because they are rare doesnt mean they are worth a whopping sum of money. Sweet. Amazing machines. Question. Is it an Edison Standard model A cylinder machine or a standard talking machine model A disc machine?

Ring the buzzer dude!!!!!!!!it is the standard talking machine co.whos owner only had a 15 year stretch in their success not, long enough to spend all that cabage.
