Hi, my name is Valerio, 27yo and I'm a new user. I'm italian collectionist and I have VIctor Victrola IV 1916. Some weeks ago I bought 2 type of soundboxes for my Victrola. The first one is Victrola n°2 Gold , the second one is Victrola n°2 Steel plated. The soundboxes are the same, just different is the colour I think. What are the different about these soundboxes? What is the best? What is the value? thanks

V, There really was no difference in those two variations except for the color. One was gold plated, the other nickel plated. Each was used on a machine which had the matching color of hardware, such as the tone-arm, brake, speed control, crank and other exposed parts.
