Most collectors on the boards and forums know me as Moooperator, but you can call me Moo. My name is Jeff and I've been collecting anything I could get me hands on (and afford) about phonographs - machines, brochures, ads, accessories for about 10 years. You name it. I want it! I'm your average middle age male with a weight problem phonograph collector but we have all types here... even some GIRLS!! Don't get your hopes up and think this is a place to pick up internet chicks... these ladies can kick you butt! After we lost two beloved boards I decided to start this one and try to keep everybody happy. Of course not everyone is going to agree on any subject, but I hope to mediate any flare ups and help solve them. This is a place where we talk about phonographs and the hobby. We may stray off the topic a little but I plan to keep us navigated out of hot water topics.
So please become a member and meet some friends in the hobby... if you are a "newbie" and just want to ask about a machine you got from grandma - you'll find lots of knowledge people here to help you!
Regards, Mooo

Moo,
Thanks for setting up this forum. I am also saddened by the recent loss of the 2 phono boards. I haven't yet decided whether to join this or other boards, but I might. This board seems so far to be on an even keel, unlike some other new boards which seem to want to keep the fight going by posting negative comments about each other.

Thanks... I plan to join another one soon myself... I'm already a member of Matt's. I was told that several old Old Time Victrola Music Message Board members were afraid that I might hand the reigns over to someone they wouldn't approve of once this board was up and running. That would never happen. This is not as hard as I thought it would be and John told me it is pretty easy to keep it rolling. If I ever turned it over to a more qualified computer savvy person it would be by this board's members nominating and voting on a current member in good standing. I would never leave you guys high and dry. I think some thought I "was drinking the kool-aid" because I posted on both boards but my loyalty was to friends who only posted on one board and I wanted to stay in contact with them. I consider myself a friend to both old board owners and their problems was just that - theirs.
I know that every post is part of your valuable time and I wouldn't want to have proBoards find us in TOS violations.
I don't think any board would say you can't be a member of theirs if you post here. I want you to be a member of any phono group you choose and choose many! you learn more that way!

Ah, nice to have the proboard template again! Thanks, Moo. Like everyone, I hope Don IV's wonderful archive work can turn up here!
