I have, what I believe to be a Zonophone. It has a 10 inch plate, an elbow is part of the actual horn bracket. Unlike many other gramophones, These two pieces are one whole piece and also holds the tone arm into place. The tone arm has a joint in it, that allows the arm to swival. I am missing the horn and I don't know what horn it is supposed to have. I believe it needs a floral petal horn? not a round circular? Not sure so I am asking anyone who may have a photo of a Oxford/Zonophone that has this same elbow/bracket style, to send it to me so i can reference it to find a correct horn. The opening of the elbow is 1.75" wide for the horn to fit into. If you have photos, please send jpeg format to my email myoldphonograph@gmail.com. If you have a horn, please contact me with photos and price and shipping. thanks in advance. JOHN

Here's a Zonophone Compton that a member Steve used to own. The morning glory horn is the same as those used by Victor/HMV. An original one of these shouldn't be too hard to find, ao repro's are available. ** Looking again, it seems your elbow is a little different, & I'm guessing a little earlier? If so, I'd be going for a witches hat horn.

I also found this picture of a Zonophone "apollon", which I'm guessing is a convertion kit for a front mount. Your elbow appears to be a cross between this & the ones I posted above. Is there any chance you can post a side view of your machine without the water mark across the elbow?

OK, here is an ad I found in Sears Catalog and I believe this is the machine I have as the case and the elbow/horn mount all look the same. It looks like the Oxford JF (1909). My question here is, Is Oxford associated with ZONOPHONE? I checked many websites for more information about the company but it seems every site has it's own rendition of who owned it and who bought it, etc. As of 4/9/9 I am still looking for a horn. So if you have a flower horn, probably similar to a Victor O flowered horn, I would appreciate any leads to one. I'm cleaning up and bringing this machine back to life as we speak. thanks again JOHNNY
