Found this at a thrift store. I love this music and never heard of Sidney Bechet before now. But I'm confused on one thing - the "Prof." in front of his name on the label. All the bios I looked up don't say anything about him being a Professor. Or am I mistaken on what the "Prof." designation means? Here's an image of the label and a Youtube link of the tune:

I found this for you... www.doctorjazz.co.uk/page37.htmlAs result of a NBC radio program this record was cut. The titles for Sidney, Henry, as well as this group's name were all made-up. Discovering music you like is a thrill and with a little research uncover an artist's lineage. Their relationship to others that you may like may become clearer too. James.

Thanks, that clears up the confusion. Also a date, 1940. 70 years ago now, wow! Too bad the flip side isn't one of the other titles with SB and Levine. For some reason the other side is Dinah Shore singing Mood Indigo. I like DS, it's a good song, and the record is in good condition, just not sure why it was paired with this one.
